Depo-Provera (Medroxyprogesterone) is an anti-androgen treatment for pre-operative transsexuals who have not undergone an orchiectomy (castration). The dosage for this drug is usually 100mg to 200mg monthly or 50mg bi-weekly. I have used Depo-Provera for about 4 months and at that time, my sex drive was pretty much nullified. I will add however, the castration effects of Depo-Provera will completely reverse themselves once you stop taking it. Normally the drug would be injected Intramuscular so what the long lasting effects of injecting it into the testicles directly is not totally known to me at this point in time as I have only been off of it for about a month. I have noticed however, my sex drive has started to returns.
